– 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon of urad dal
– 1 teaspoon of chana dal
– 10-12 curry leaves
– 2 green chilies, slit
– 1 large onion, finely chopped
– 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
– 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
– 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
– 1 teaspoon of fennel powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of fenugreek powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida (hing)
– 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala
– Salt to taste
– 2 tablespoons of yogurt
– 2 tablespoons of coconut milk (optional)
